A new transformation technique called the Taylor transform is introduced in this study. A great advantage of the Taylor transform over the integral transform is its ability to solve the nonlinear differential equation. Two nonlinear problems—Van der Pol’s equation and the motion behavior of an earthquake isolation system—are solved by the present method. The results compare very well with the measured data and the results obtained from other analytical methods.
