In laparoscopy surgery, surgeons can do very complicated and quite advanced surgery through small incisions, avoiding the complications associated with a large painful incision. This type of surgical approach covers a broad range of surgeries in many parts of body, allowing large numbers of patients to recover and resume normal activities sooner.

With widespread adoption of this paradigm, the need for surgical training to learn this type of surgery continues to increase. Training simulators have become relatively advanced to help trainees develop their skills without requiring unsafe “practice” activity on patients [1]. The lack of portability and high cost are among the main drawbacks of current simulators, which make them inconvenient for personal use. The goal of this project is to provide an easily accessible device alongside other validated training alternatives to simulate laparoscopic tasks.
