Stents are mechanical devices used to provide mechanical support to clocked blood vessels in different parts of the human body. Coronary stents are stents that are implanted in the coronary artery that provides blood support to the heart [1]. Coronary stents development began in early 1980s after a new procedure called percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) was successful in opening clocked arteries [2] but acute vessel closure and restenosis were higher in the patients, who were subjected to this procedure [3]. Sigwart et al. [4] described in 1987 the first nonrandomized data about the Wallstent [5]. Even though in the U.S., many procedures were done stent placement became popular after a study called BENESTENT was published [6].
