The use of the Finite Element Method in acoustic analysis is a new problem with theoretical and practical interests. Although acoustic analysis is similar to fluid and heat transfer analysis, there are some important differences introduced by compressibility, white noise, echo, and so forth. This paper approaches the problem by combining spectral and cepstral analysis with the Finite Element Method. Starting from the acoustic intensity on the boundary of the ambient space of an acoustic source, a suitable model consisting of discrete frequencies for the Finite Element Method is created.
