Abstract
The simplified thermal network model for Asynchronous machine is developed in this paper. The differential set of equations governing the thermal behavior of the machine under transient state conditions is derived and solved using a commercial software package. MATLAB®. The simulated mean temperatures for the various machine parts are compared with the measured results. It is observed that the predicted stator temperature is in good agreement with the measured temperature.
