This report covers hydrogen attack experienced in moderate-pressure utility boilers. The two steam generators involved are two-drum boilers operating at 900 psi with total steam temperature of 900 F. The actual failures were in several forms — slight bulging, slight bulging with longitudinal through crack, and complete blow-out of a section of tube.
