Abstract

High-frequency dielectric heating provides a unique method of heating certain materials with results which are unattainable with conventional means. The limitations of former methods and the advantages of high-frequency heating are discussed, and the theoretical basis and the practical limitations of the latter method are explained. Its applications in various industries and the advantages gained are briefly discussed, followed by some of the possible future applications.
