It is hard to believe that five years have passed since I assumed the Editorship of the ASME Journal of Energy Resources Technology. With my recent early retirement from The University of Tulsa, I decided not to pursue a second five-year term. We are very fortunate to have recruited an excellent replacement in Andrew Wojtanowicz for the next five-year term, which officially began January 1, 2001. Andrew is a Professor of Petroleum Engineering at Louisiana State University and has also served as an Associate Editor of JERT for several years. No doubt he will introduce himself to JERT readers in a future issue and share his goals for the journal.
