Based on a graphic work (woodcut) authored by Professor Atena Elena Simionescu, the paper illustrates a new method of analysis for the works of art in the domain of visual arts. This method employs the systems theory. The proposed method does not intend to substitute the established arts contemplation, it is only a tool for the artists, art critics and scholars aimed at better work of art comprehension, interpretation and, finally, creation.
