CGM is an industry standard of POSC (Petrotechnical Open Standards Consortium), a widely used graphic format in petroleum exploration and production. According to the modern development principles for component technology, an approach to develop the parsing and customizing platform for CGM format with VS.NET and Carnac.NET is presented. This provides a flexible component based toolkit to parse CGM in integrated applications for Web services.
