It can be very complicated to determine soil temperatures with changing depth and time. Many factors such as soil composition and porosity, running, seeping or stationary water, ice, vegetation, trees, rain, snow, day and night temperature variations, global warming and human intervention, etc., affect soil temperature penetration. In this chapter, we will investigate seasonally averaged varying temperature effects on a specific type of soil. We will assume an average and constant surface temperature over a specific type of soil over 90 days. The average and constant surface temperature of soil in Winter months of December, January and February will be -4.44 C. The average and constant surface temperature of soil in Spring months of March, April and May will be +3.33 C. The average and constant surface temperature of soil in the Summer months of June, July and August will be +15.0 C. The average and constant surface temperature of soil in Fall months of September, October and November will be +5.55 C.
