In this chapter, we present four practical applications for which we investigate a comparison between Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) Youla control design and MIMO H, mixed sensitivity, control design. These applications include active suspension control (ASC) development, fuel injection control for engine start-up for hybrid diesel powertrain with a combination of an electric motor and a diesel engine, a free-flying space robot, and estimation with Youla compared to Kalman filtering for vehicle lateral dynamics.
