In this chapter, we present four practical applications for which we investigate a comparison between Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) Youla control design and MIMO H∞, mixed sensitivity, control design. These applications include active suspension control (ASC) development, fuel injection control for engine start-up for hybrid diesel powertrain with a combination of an electric motor and a diesel engine, a free-flying space robot, and estimation with Youla compared to Kalman filtering for vehicle lateral dynamics.
