The impulse method described in the two previous chapters was used to evaluate the sensitivity of the method for determining the mass, damping and stiffness coefficients of the rotor–bearing system. The literature describes the influences of many parameters on the results of calculations of experimental dynamic coefficients of bearings, such as supply pressure or bearing geometry. However, there is no description of the sensitivity of the experimental method itself.
