As part of the work experimental research and numerical calculations were carried out. In order to prepare the work, it was necessary to use a laboratory test rig with a rotor working on hydrodynamic bearings and extensive measuring equipment was also used. This instrumentation is available at the Institute of Fluid-Flow Machinery at the Polish Academy of Sciences in Gdansk. The measurements were carried out in accordance with relevant standards (Kosmol 2010). The vibrations of non-rotating parts were measured in accordance with ISO 10816-1:1995 (1995). Measurement of rotor vibrations was compliant with ISO 10817-1:1998 (1998). The balancing of the rotor is based on ISO 1940-1:2003 (2003). Schematic drawings were made using the Inkscape vector graphics software (www.inkscape.org). The graphs were prepared in vector form using Origin 2018 Pro software (www.originlab.com).
