The following factors should be considered in using chemicals for lay-up:
All normal safety precautions associated with using the chemical(s) should be observed.
If the lay-up chemical(s) is different from the operating chemical(s), either in type or concentration, the lay-up solution may have to be replaced or the concentration reduced before start-up.
Disposal of lay-up chemical solutions must comply with all applicable state and federal regulations. Environmental considerations may limit the use of concentrated solutions, or solutions with low levels of volatile oxygen scavenger, for wet lay-up.
