5 Inspection of Equipment Available to Purchase

The ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section VII, Recommended Guidelines for the Care of Power Boilers has a Subsection on Inspection (C6) that details the requirements for the boiler proper. Paragraph C6.200 notes that “Most jurisdictions require that all power boilers should be given one or more internal and external inspections per year by an Authorized Inspector as defined in C6.100(a).” Another Subsection on Control of Internal Chemical Conditions (C8) has a paragraph on Inspection (C8.570) that is quoted here in part as it adds useful information to the subject of lay-up.
