The power density of telecommunication equipment as well as computing systems is continuously increased at a fast pace. With significant increase in system power densities, the cost of powering and cooling of the equipment at the data centers and equipment host facilities has also increased greatly in the recent years. A two-phase passive heat transfer device possesses a very high heat transfer capacity because of involving latent heat. The passive two phase devices which are self regulating flow require no external power/mechanical devices such as fans and pumps and also have no moving parts.. Therefore, this passive device can perform its specified tasks while achieving the equipment energy efficiency as well as improved reliability.
