In this chapter we will investigate the power input requirements for a water supply line from a lake to a factory for different volume flow rates and different pipe internal diameters. Water flow rates are in the turbulent zone, namely Reynolds number greater than 2300. For piping, commercial steel pipes are used with different roughness, depending on the pipe’s internal diameter. Water properties in the pipe are considered as constants.
