In the past decade, genetic algorithms have been used in a variety of fields to find an optimal solution of the problem with several objectives. In this paper, we will deal with a human resource allocation problem with three conflicting objectives, i.e., minimizing the total costs of the staff, balancing the usage of the full-time staff, and maximizing the motivation of the staff. In human resource management, the allocation of human resources is usually done by human resource managers considering the efficiency of the staff costs and the services. However, the staffs' individual needs and their working environment should be satisfied as much as possible at the same time. In order to solve this multiobjective problem, hybrid multistage decision-based genetic algorithm will be introduced with fuzzy logic controller, which is used for parameter fine-tuning of genetic algorithm. As a result, this paper will show an optimum one-day staff schedule satisfying all three objectives.
