To improve the effect of heat transfer of the combustor, an orthogonal test with 4 configuration elements under 3 levels is conducted by using software FLUENT. It is found that 2 elements are dominant. Comparisons between numerical solution and experimental result were made. The result shows that the longer the tail gas flows through, the better the efficiency of heat transfer is, and the shrink jaws of the combustion chamber is crucial to sustain the combustion.
