119 Opitimization of Heat Coupling in Decentralised Energy Supply

The Energy Research Alliance of Lower Saxony is developing an intelligent management and communication system for the combined heat and power stations (CHP), which cross-links the different stations to each other in order to homogenize the peak loads in low voltage grids. This “grid-oriented operation mode” of block cogeneration unit affords a high requirement of the thermal coupling systems. The installation of the thermal buffer storage in buildings allows the decoupling of the heat demand from the power supply. The influence of thermal storage on the system performance is investigated not only with computer simulation but also with experimental measurements.
