Aquifer energy storage of underground water heat pump system was researched in this paper. In winter, heat was extracted from underground water for the space heating, and then the cold water was stored up in the underground, which would be supply lower temperature water for the heat pump in summer. Similarly, in summer, underground water absorbed the heat of the heat pump system, which heat was stored up and would be used for the space heating in winter. Three years temperature and flux of production and re-injection wells were tested, based on that, the ration of heat and cool energy storage was calculated. It indicated that the energy storage efficiency of the heat pump system was 13∼25% in winter and 34∼37% in summer. At last, the running cost of aquifer energy storage system was compared with only for heating or only for cooling heat pump system. It indicated that coupled with aquifer thermal energy storage heat pump system had higher cop, which consumed lower electricity and had a good economic effect.
