We developed an analytical model for the pressure-driven fully developed water flow in a 2-D channel under the condition of overlapping EDL. Using the Poisson-Nernst-Planck treatment for the transport of ions in the EDL and the chemical equilibrium for wall condition, the ion distribution and the electrical potential profile have been determined. In the process of solving the non-linear 2nd order ordinary differential equation, we assumed that the contribution of co-ions is negligible for the strong overlapped EDL. We also discussed the application of Zeta potential on the electrostatic flow with the overlapped EDL. The analysis will provide a better understanding of the effect of overlapped EDL on the flow of water as well as dilute solutions.
