Two generation miniature Wankel compressors with the cooling capacity of 300W were developed. The weight of first generation compressor is 700g and that of second generation is 400g. A miniature spiral-tube type evaporator is developed for the microclimate cooling system which weighs less than 0.26kg and a brazed aluminum multi-channel parallel type condenser is also developed for the miniature cooling system which weighs less than 0.3kg. Based on the development of above components, a miniature cooling system prototype with a cooling capacity of 300 W was integrated and the system weighs approximately 2.85kg. An experimental system for miniature cooling system was set up. The tests of the performance of microclimate cooling system were done. The experimental results indicated that the compression ratio of the compressor is above 3.0, the refrigerating output of the system is above 300W and the coefficient of performance of the developed micro Climate Cooling System was about 2.3.
