The purpose of this research was to develop a simplified dynamic simulation model that can predict indoor air temperature, wall surface temperatures, and the cooling capacity of a top insulated cooled ceiling (CC), etc, not only for natural convection condition but also for mixed convection condition. By analyzing heat exchange relations between the top insulated CC and other walls in a room, Jeong and Mumma's analytical panel model was modified and the term equivalent heat transfer coefficient of CC was presented.
