In this paper, the new type of porous heat-storage solar wall is designed. Equal diameter, uniform porous balls are used as material of the new solar wall. The heat transfer and flow characteristics for the new type of porous heat-storage solar wall with air as heat transfer medium are simulated. Results show that the performance parameters of porous heat-storage solar wall are influenced by the inlet air velocity and structure of the porous solar wall system such as the porosity and average particle diameter of the porous medium, the glass duct width etc. In addition, the volume heat transfer efficiency and the volume heat storage efficiency are also presented to analyze the thermal storage ability of the porous solar wall.
