This paper describes a theoretical study of the performance of an innovative ejector with potential application in refrigeration. Theoretical results described in this paper indicate a significant improvement in entrainment ratio, over those achievable from ejectors designed using traditional method. Also, this innovative ejector gives flexible operation when the generator temperature is lower than the optimum value as it can work with steady performance in this range. In addition, the entrainment ratio of the innovative ejector higher than 0.5 and the COP of the ejector refrigeration system higher than 0.55 can be obtained, which shows a competitive performance.
