The solar energy volumetric absorber consists of pin fin array, in which one of the most important characteristics is that the convective heat transfer couples with radiation in high-pressure and high-temperature. A quasi-source item is proposed to add to the related governing equations to develop an innovative numerical model to describe the couple phenomena. This paper adopts continuum model to add energy source item in energy conservation equation and flow resistance source item in momentum conservation equation equivalently. The simulation results have a good agreement with the experimental data.
