The influence of the quality on tension control accuracy in dying cloth is obvious. As a result, he tension control in unwinding and winding processes become very important. The control method based on magnetic particle brake and magnetic particle clutch as executor of tension control is presented. The static and dynamic characteristics of the magnetic particle brake is mentioned. This paper also analyzes the control algorithm of PID. The hardware control circuit and some software flow chart are given. The presented control method has been applied in a factory. The test results show that presented method is feasible
