Model management system (MMS) is considered as one of the most important components in a decision support system, and a general-purpose MMS architecture is the key for the application of MMS. We proposed in this paper a new layered MMS architecture based on model net, and the functions of each of the layers, subsystems, and procedures in this architecture are carefully defined. In addition, decision making process based on this architecture is discussed.
