The system of electromagnetic linear motor control based on the SOPC Nios II processor and FPGA platform is given. A special PWM module is used to accomplish Velocity/Pulse conversion function and speed-test module is used to finish Pulse/Velocity conversion function. With the help of the State-machine algorithm, the different velocity will be exchange smoothly. The closed loop speed control of electromagnetic linear motor will come true, through the improvement PID algorithm. The experiment result on the Nios II platform declares this method can well meet the linear motor control response demand below the 5Hz frequency. Compared with other control based on SCM, DSP and so on, this platform supplies an innovation way for the linear motor control.
