An air cycle refrigeration system that transferred large heat to environment was proposed, which was on account of more and more heat produced by avionics. It used fuel as main heat sink, and enhanced heat transfer of liquid-cooled heat exchanger by reduced turbine inlet temperature. Dynamic characteristics of system were investigated on Flowmaster simulation platform, meanwhile, fuel penalty was calculated with the method of take-off gross weight. The results show that this new system satisfies requirements of aircraft and decreases ratio of fuel penalty caused by engine bleed air. It makes sense to guide the development of traditional air cycle refrigeration system.
