For the integrated navigation system, the data from different subsystems lead to the decline of navigation accuracy or ineffective and so on because of the asynchronous time, a GPS and electronic compass synchronous acquisition system based on FPGA was proposed and designed. Take FPGA as the core processor of the system, use Verilog HDL language to develop, simulate serial to communicate. To the most important, use 1PPS signal (pulse per second) of GPS receiver as a synchronization label of the time synchronization method, add accurate time label to the data of electronic compass, so as to achieve the purpose of time synchronization, and ultimately realize the host computer's visual display. The results show that the system can quickly and accurately transfer, extract and store the attitude and location information, reliably complete the real-time measurement of motion vector, and effectively improve the positioning accuracy of integrated navigation system.
