Nowadays, Flexible Ac Transmission Systems (FACTS) are used in power systems for different purposes such as damping oscillations occurred for special reasons. In this paper, two member of FACTS devices family are selected for aforementioned reasons. First, Unified Power Flow Controller (UPFC) is presented and then Static Synchronous Series Compensator (SSSC) will be introduced and their dynamic performance with voltage and current real time waveforms for power system stability in MATLAB/SIMULINK environment will be simulated. To show the efficacy of both UPFC and SSSC performances, their active and reactive power waveforms will be depicted in simultaneous figures.
