203 T-S Fuzzy and Genetic Algorithm Control for MPPT of Solar Power Generation Systems

This paper addresses a kind of maximum power point tracking (MPPT) control for a single solar power generation systems via the genetic algorithm (GA) and T-S fuzzy-model-based approach. To draw the maximum power from a solar photovoltaic (PV) array, first, we construct a desire physics and T-S fuzzy model of the PV system. Next, GA is used to calculate the desire voltage corresponding to the MPP according the environment conditions, and then a buck converter is applied to drive the output voltage of PV array to the desire value. Finally, simulation results are given to demonstrate the performance of the proposed methods.
