This paper presents an electric loading system without inertia disk for actuators that adopts a torque-loading structure with disc permanent magnet synchronous torque motor, which connects directly with the under-test actuator, eliminating damping of the inertia disk. It employs Wheatstone bridge circuit for measuring torque, and sticks strain gauges directly on output shaft of the torque motor. It also uses SVPWM for torque control. The results of step response simulation show that the loading system, without bulky energy conversion device, realizes any transient current amplitude to control, through the use of sine wave current for driving, reduces torque ripple significantly, also inhibits effectively excess force in loading process. It is simple in structure, and improves model accuracy. Vector control improves dynamic quality and control precision of the loading system. Besides, it introduces hardware design of measurement and software design of vector control of the loading system.
