The fault location assessment of transmission line is divided into two parts: the evaluation of fault location algorithm and the valuation of difficulty level to repair faulty line. The reliable algorithm assessment can be used to select and design effective fault location method as a whole. Whereas, fault location is the foundation of the follow-up line-tracking and faulty transmission line reparation, so it is finally demanded to assess the difficulty level of faulty line reparation to guide the actual work.
