This paper studies the situation of XLPE cables in the electric aging process, compares and analyzes the chaotic characteristics of partial discharge pulse waveform of each aging stage. By means of calculation and comparison of the correlation dimension D (m) and Kolmogorov entropy (KE), the result indicate that the PD pulse waveform of different stage has different chaotic characteristic, so as to provide a new basis for the diagnosis of XPLE cables aging.
