21 The Optimize Realization and Performance Evaluation for a Target Recognition Algorithm

This paper first introduced a new kind of target recognition algorithm and then give it's optimize realization and performance evaluation. This algorithm can still recognize the target accurately in case of a poor image. For satisfy its rigorous real time requirements in the real application, this text discussed it's optimize realization in both software and hardware. At last, a performance evaluation has been given based on the platform of ADSP TS201 which cooperates with a FPGA as its own coprocessor. The total running time can be controlled in 500 ms, which can satisfy the real time request for automatic target recognition.
