20 Attentance Management Information System on the Mobile Phones Available to Purchase

Wireless internet is gaining wide spread usage in teaching affairs, company and other organizations information management, especially in attendance management information system. How attendance checking management information system executed in the classroom can be developed for mobile phones is illustrated and the general framework for designing such attendance checking and attendance query applications is introduced. Using the framework, based on Microsoft database software SQL Server 2000, T-SQL clause is employed to program the data fetch and data update for attendance checking business. The framework utilizes mobile phones simulator software, Nokia WAP Toolkit, which employs WML and WMLScript on the client side, and interacts with some ASP files in conjunction with the associated SQL Server database on the server side. The design and implementation of the management information system are discussed, test results are presented and conclusion is made in the end.
