In this study, a novel software used for PC based control and image processing and designed for a robot arm prototype is introduced. Function of the prototype is to catch a ball and put it in a basket. The ball is placed randomly on a platform in front of the prototype. The prototype consists of four mechanic parts controlled with RC servos and there is a camera located at the wrist part. RC servos are controlled with a microcontroller (MC) unit. The data transfer among MC unit, PC and camera is realized by using serial communications and USB port.
