Government has enacted a series of affordable housing policy. But these safeguards are often constructed at the edge of the city, and most low-income people work at the Center City District, therefore commuting has become a problem for this part of crowd. In response, City Planning Commission deliver that the affordable housing has the priority to be constructed along the rail transportation, to solve the travel problem. Based on it, this research is to study the commuting problem through interview and questionnaire, to verify whether the efficiency in the use of rail transport has been achieved, and whether the rail transit could solve the commuting problem. What is more, the research will be able to put forward a better integration of affordable housing and rail transportation based on the analysis of unreasonable site selection of affordable housing and deficiency of rail transit construction.
