Mobile phones are among the wide use of mobile devices in accessing the internet apart of laptops and personal digital assistants (PDAs). The advancement of information and communication technology led by the mobile technology has provide the opportunity to Malaysia citizens in getting access to services and information related to government from the ministry web portal at anywhere and anytime. Thus, the aim of this paper is to investigate whether the mobile web is made available by Malaysia's government ministry websites when users making access using their mobile phone. The method of doing this study consists of explorations and observations towards 25 government ministry websites including Prime Minister Department using Nokia C6-01 mobile phone and Sony Ericsson P1i PDA as well as validating the mobile-friendliness of the websites using MobiReady mobile web validator tool. The result shows that 36% of the government ministry websites are not yet available in mobile version. The remaining of the websites can be accessed in mobile version where 62.5% of those adopted the standard website URL to be the mobile web version address while the rest need to be accessed using different URL. It is hope that the study will shed some light into the Malaysian m-government adoption.
