The aim of this study was to synthesize bio-oil by pyrolysis and another products i.e. char, acetic acid and gases. The experiment using Zoysia Matrella (L.) Merr (Manila Grass). It has dispersed on widespread area of Thailand, and can be found everywhere. This study focus on the properties of bio-oil with carry out in grass fragment into pyrolysis furnace operate in continuous reactor and synthesize bio-oil and by-products. The proximate analysis of Manila grass founded that volatile matter, ash, fixed carbon and moisture were 59.5 ñ 0.20, 18.0 ñ 0.50, 21.5 ñ 0.05 and 0.58 ñ 0.50, respectively. The analyses of bio-oil showed that the trends of heating value was decreasing along the lap rate of temperature which were 32.18 MJ/Kg at 500 °C and 23.5 MJ/Kg at 400 °C, The sulfur contents of bio-oil was lowest 0.27 wt.% and highest 0.34 wt%. The analysis whereby separating the element contents showed that C, H, N and O were 56.67, 8.77, 0.08 and 37.84 wt%, respectively., Hence, Manila Grass was can produce these products for preparing substrates into fractional distillation process to the future if considering the standard measurement of bio-oil within the optimize range.
