Accelerated software reliability testing (ASRT) method, which is based on strengthened operational profile (SOP), can achieve higher reliability indicator requirements in a relatively short period of time. It overcomes the problem faced by traditional reliability testing method that the test of time is too long. However, the effects of accelerated software reliability testing are different when using different SOPs, certain risks must be attendant if to pursue accelerating faster by SOP. This article is based on several groups of experiments, comparing the ASRT results when using two different kinds of SOPs for test. Both the accelerated effectiveness and the risk between two SOPs are analyzed, to give a reference of choosing SOP in practical application.
