During the development of liquid oxygen/methane (LOX/CH4) engines, problems with regard to the LOX/CH4 stable and efficient combustion must be solved. Shear coaxial injector is usually used as the LOX/CH4 engine injector element and has an important influence on the combustion efficiency and stability. Here, the atomization, vaporization, mixture, and combustion processes of a LOX/GCH4 shear coaxial injector were simulated numerically. And the combustion efficiency was predicted as an emphasis. The effects of configurable parameters including CH4 injector thickness, LOX injector diameter, and LOX injector recess depth, and operational parameters including injected velocity ratio, mass flux, and mixture ratio on the combustion efficiency were researched. It has provided direct design data for designing the LOX/GCH4 shear coaxial injector.
