A new color image segmentation method based on FCM clustering, and region combination is proposed in detail. The image is divided into non-singular points and singular points in accordance with the saturation, and mapped to the one-dimensional histogram in HSV color space, then clustering it by FCM and eliminate the scattered small area by merger regions, this method overcomes the over-segmentation problem in FCM..
