The Social Force Model is one of the Microscopic Pedestrian Simulation Model that is used to study the movement of pedestrians. Many modifications have been proposed as improvements to this model. One of these modifications involves the respect factor which is a constant value that was incorporated into a self-stopping mechanism that allows a gradual stop of the pedestrian in a crowd. The dynamic respect factor which is an improvement to the respect factor is dependent on the density of the walking area of the pedestrian.
