To study the evolutionary characteristics of public opinion spread in social networks,a new propagation model is proposedbased on epidemiological model and accords with popular online network spreading. According to this propagation model, a large number of simulation experiments considered the influence of users’ different characteristics are finished. The results ofsimulations showsome evolutionary characteristics— public opinion outbreaks in early stage of spreading, influence range of news reducesprogressively and periodically in middle stage and public opinion presents dynamic stabilityin late stage.
