Multitouch technology is one of the newest featured interactive surface technologies catching human computer interaction (HCI) designers’ attention due to its friendly natural touch interaction method. It supports three most common sensory modalities (visual, auditory and kinesthetic) that we work with every day to remember, understand and form new ideas or solve problems. It has the potential for offering a new hands-on experience to daily activities especially for learning and development activities in educational context.Much is known about humanand technology but little is known about human and multitouch technology in learning and development. We are in a turning point of HCI, which requires a deepening of focusinto emotional and affective designs. In response to these challenges, human multitouch interaction framework (HMTI)is proposed to identify and understanding the key interaction factors (ergonomics, usability, aesthetics and visual appeal) that are important to enable natural and harmony technology-enhanced learning environment.
